Opening Doors, Building Futures: NTUST Students Visit AMPOWER

We’ve met them before—in classrooms and casual campus talks. This time, they came to us.

When NTUST’s bright electrical engineering students visited AMPOWER on June 12, it wasn’t your typical company visit. It was a chance to go beyond textbooks, to sit face-to-face with engineers, managers, and even our CEO, and to ask the big questions: What comes next? How do I grow? Where can I make an impact?

We’ve been connecting with these students throughout the semester as part of an industry-academia collaboration hosted by ITRI, NTUST, NTU, NTNU, and several partner companies. Throughout the day, students explored how their academic knowledge connects to real-world applications through a series of immersive sessions.

We kicked off with a guided tour led by Sales Engineer Tiger Tang, who walked the students through each department, showing how AMPOWER’s teams work in sync to deliver reliable, intelligent power solutions. What seemed like separate functions revealed a tightly integrated system. For many students, it was their first glimpse of coordinated, real-world execution.

HR Director Iris Liu then shared how AMPOWER supports young professionals during the critical transition from campus to career. From structured onboarding and mentorship to dual career paths, Iris made one thing clear: “We’re more than HR. We’re here to help you grow, feel seen, and find your place.”

Next up, our Sales Manager Ben Chang walked everyone through AMPOWER’s role in the industry: from power systems and SCADA to on-site integration. His message was simple: what you’re learning now already has real industry value. “You’re already closer than you think.”

But the highlight for many came over lunch: a candid discussion with our Chairman Calvin Chen—no slides, no filters, not just talking about AMPOWER. They delved deep into the realities of leadership, the unexpected twists in a career, and what it takes to thrive in the energy world.

“The lunch session helped me see the industry differently,” said one student.

“It was the most valuable part of this rare opportunity,” shared another.

“The Chairman’s stories were particularly insightful, his views on the power systems industry gave me a lot to think about.”

We were deeply encouraged by the students’ feedback. Because to us, this visit is a part of a long-term commitment to empower young talent with tools, confidence, and a sense of belonging as they take their first step into the professional world.

To the students: thank you for your curiosity, energy, and openness. Keep asking questions, keep challenging yourself, and know that when you’re ready to take that next step, we’re here!
