Stepping back into the place where one of our formative years unfolded carries a familiar current of curiosity and ambition. The National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) still holds that same energy during “2025 Angel Alumni Networking Day.”




This quarterly gathering, organized by the NCKU Global Alumni Association, brings together standout companies founded, operated, or invested in by NCKU alumni to explore industry collaborations and investment opportunities. The session highlighted innovations in semiconductor supply chains, process equipment, materials, and plant engineering.
Among the guests was AMPOWER Chairman Calvin Chen, an NCKU Civil Engineering alumnus. He shared insights on reliable emergency power for semiconductor facilities, including fast-starting generator sets, paralleled backup systems, stable UPS support, and turnkey EPC services that help fabs maintain stability in the face of rising demand and increasing operational risks.
As semiconductor operations grow more complex, power resilience has moved from a supporting role to essential infrastructure.
