AMPOWER’s Year-End Gathering: A Year Brought to a Close

In Taiwan, many workplaces gather shortly before the Lunar New Year to bring the working year to a close. This tradition, known as 尾牙 (Wei Ya, Year-End Gathering), is a long-established part of local business culture. It marks the end of one cycle and creates space to pause before the next begins.

A Shared Evening, A Shared Reset

Wei Ya is not centered on performance or results. Its purpose is simpler and more enduring: to acknowledge the effort that carries work forward.

On February 4, 2026, after months of steady work, AMPOWER colleagues and our long-term partners sat down together over a shared dinner at Peng Yuan Banquet Hall in Xindian, New Taipei City. The evening offered time to sit together, reconnect, and reflect on the year’s work, as senior leadership reviewed the period just passed and expressed their appreciation.

Beyond the meal and familiar year-end customs, the evening unfolded with a lively musical set by singer Dooley, moving easily between popular Chinese and English songs.

Later, in a moment that needed no prompting, AMPOWER’s chairman stepped in alongside partners and colleagues on the dance floor—an unplanned gesture that reflected the ease and camaraderie of the gathering.

As the gathering comes to a close, the work continues—steady, attentive, and grounded. What stays with us is a sense of continuity and mutual respect, shaping how we show up for our partners and customers each day.

We are deeply grateful for the commitment and care our teams have shown over the past year.
